I like a mozzarella and tomato salad with a slice of avocado on the side - drizzled with balsamic vinegar and garnished with pesto. Mmmm! |

It's a good idea to try to eat as many different fruits as you can, the lovely colours make you think of sunny days and they are obviously so very good to keep your immune system healthy and ward off any cold and flu germs. |

I have a few suggestions:
The first is herbal tea, or green tea. You cut out the caffeine, and many herbal teas have relaxing properties, or detoxing, or even immune boosting. Just consult your doctor first if you're on medication. I like blackcurrant tea when its cold, and its good to keep away sore throats. You can get them from any good herbal shop. If you get confused, just ask! Another is have a bowl of fresh fruit on your coffee table. you're more likely to reach for that, than go through to the kitchen and make yourself a snack. Thirdly, although its not really the season for vegetables, it has been proven that frozen vegetables have more nutrients in them than fresh veg, so stock up your freezer with frozen veg, and make a nice veg stew, or a broth to keep the cold at bay! |

I like to make a large pot of soup to ensure that when I am hungry, I do not reach for the biscuit tin. Whenever I feel peckish, then I can warm some soup and stick to my detox.
Either Lentil or Watecress soups would be my favourite. |
