Dylan goes out to play in London. Little Dylan Smirnov from Woodford Green simply loves toys and recently had the time of his life in London toyshops. Dylan, who lives with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension, was granted his wish to go shopping in London, be driven in a Hummer limo and then go for dinner with his family to Planet Hollywood.
Dylan's toy adventure started when the Hummer limo collected him, his mum Michelle, dad Gary, brother Luke and sister Stephanie from their home and took them to Game in Oxford Street. Once inside a personal shopper helped Dylan chose a toy steering wheel and racing games to play on his Playstation 2.
After lunch at Pizza Hut, a fully refuelled Dylan headed off to Hamley's ready to shop with yet another personal shopper. With her help Dylan searched all seven of Hamley's floors for his favoured toys and games.
Laden with bags, Dylan and his family were whisked off in the Hummer limo to Planet Hollywood for dinner. After a busy day, they were taken to the Royal Lancaster Hotel, Hyde Park where the family had rooms with views of London including the London Eye. The next day, after a hearty breakfast, Dylan and his family visited the Aquarium where he saw the feeding shows and was given shark's teeth as memorabilia.
Mum said, "Dylan thoroughly enjoyed himself. It's fantastic that he's had this wish. He was delighted with the Hummer jeep. This was his highlight. Everywhere he went, cameras were flashing, it was like he was a VIP. The Royal Lancaster Hotel made him feel very special and Hamley's were so helpful and entertaining. It was a fantastic wish. We're all exhausted but we had a wonderful time. Dylan loved it."
